All of this self confidence building, and actually choosing to act once she fully understands... Only for it to later be found out that Nadette was under the effects of her voice.

Like I wrote earlier, Paul isn't Dave "Dumbing of Age" Willis. I don't think we have to worry about that too much.

I am officially rejecting that possible reality and substituting my own.

That's what she said. Doesn't mean it's the (whole) truth of the matter.

After all, it was Nadette who told Atsali that those who had true feelings for her would be immune to her song. She might possibly have been speaking from personal experience (as well as theoretical Seer knowledge) when she said that.

I was asked again, and almost took a drink...
