You can tell the difference by which one is wearing glasses. Indiana is more likely to carry a bullwhip, Aaron is more likely to travel by motorcycle - but neither is a guarantee.

Indie said this in the last movie, he did happen to be on a motorcycle at the time (yes, in a library).
