The acronym also means "damn, I am (bleep) funny", but that doesn't fit the context...
I'm sorry, I hit that part of it while looking about and promptly moved on.

Right there withya, and this thread could also represent an in-general 'ChickGeek MIA' sentiment too; in other (rhetorical) words,
Where ya Been, What'cha Doin, Tell Me What Yer 'Tinking...
(and bring some friends, we could use some more Yin to help balance all the Yang around the place...)

Just be sure to wear an appropriate level of sunscreen, and stay hydrated.
In those cases, I just make up my own meaning and go with that. For this particular instance, "Divest Itself of All Flying Fish".

My lowest is SPF 60. Very few rays get at anything but my hair, as I derp and keep forgetting to buy a big floppy hat. If I don't violet wash it periodically to prevent the white streaks, it will never be dark again. I really don't fancy having white hair. Plus, it tends to make me sad.
Dealing with paperwork and red tape, and such. Wish we had some snow so I'd feel better.

'Northerner' California is forecasting some Snow; maybe Friday night, maybe Monday. If so, I'll take a pic and post it up for you...

Our snow doesn't last long enough to send anywhere. I can just imagine someone traveling through Amarillo last Thursday morning on a freeway with snow-packed shoulders, hearing live-and-local radio station jocks calling for 75F that afternoon.

Nothing remotely close to snow in Conroe. 70's here too. The freeze a week or so ago (two nights worth) took care of the hibiscus out front and the elephant ears out back. Which isn't a bad thing. The hibiscus will get trimmed back after the last chance of freeze and return to their 6ft glory in no time after Spring hits, probably next week. The ears needed trimming anyways. They were getting pushy.

Before I left, mom had a row of "Hardy Hibiscus" next to her pool. Prettiest damn thing you ever saw. The flowers were as big as dinner plates sometimes, at least as big as dessert/luncheon plates. Bright red or pure white or white with red cores. Absolutely beautiful. And they thrived in central Illinois.

Here are mine from front yard, not quite dinner plate size, more of a big cat's head!

Those look... Strange. Like the petals are in a spiral staircase formation. The purebred hibiscus I'm familiar with have them all pretty much on the same layer. Even the ones I saw in Hawaii.
Are they some sort of subspecies or hybrid? Or am I remembering things wrong? My visit to Hawaii was long ago, back when I was still repressing memories for the sake of sanity, so I might be wrong.

Texas kind?
Really no idea, the label on the pot was "hibiscus" but that was a good number of years ago... different lifetime.

Just found these shots, closer to what you are used to seeing? These are some others that are in the yard.

YES, those are what I'm familiar with.
I wonder what's up with those other ones, though...

Apparently, hibiscus is a Genus, not a species, and it encompasses several hundred species.
Huh.

She just gets all excited over discussions of botanical taxonomy classification levels. But then again, who doesn't?
