I don't remember if I've seen this thought expressed about Nadette's visions, so I'ma put out here anyway. Being a fan of the World of the Woo-Woo, I've heard plenty of 'psychics' and 'seers' on Coast to Coast over the years. An inevitable question is if you can see the future, why haven't you won the lottery? The usual answer is that their own futures are muddier than that of someone else's, and that trying to use it for personal gain usually ends up in a chastising by the greater forces of the universe.
Just my two copper pieces on it...

The point is they are visions... you cannot get them 'on demand'.. and in RL, there are plenty of fakers!! the real ones only get a 'feeling' of what might happen...

In 2000 I was asked what would happen if GW Bush won the election. One of the things I saw was massive civil warfare. Unfortunately my geography was a few thousand miles, there was a civil war, but it was in Iraq.

You can just see the Norns, the Gods and Goddesses on Olympus, and a handful of assorted kami all circling around the errant Seer's home, glowering ominously, and saying to one another...
"A spanking! A spanking!"
They really don't like mortals playing around in what they seem to consider their own very exclusive turf.

Aaannd now, I'm going to see "A spanking! A spanking!" as a valid response to many questions...

George Takei's "Oh My!" has become very universal in situations following that last post...
