Oh, yeah - i know that. But what i was looking at was "worked with" specifically.Dave wrote:According to various sources, Heally was rather abrasive, and was an alcoholic, and (one source says) the Stooges asserted he was misappropriating money that they were owed under contract. So, they left and set out on their own group career.AnotherFairportfan wrote:Yeah - but he didn't work with them - he was top banana, and they worked for him, as "Ted Heally and His Stooges", "stooge" being a term for a not-very-bright minion.
Hence, he was the top banana, until he fudged the books, at which point they split... bringing an end to what many said was the parfait vaudeville act.
(Dave) places a gift certificate, good for one jumbo-sized portion of any treat at San Francisco's excellent bakery "Just Desserts", into the Pun Jar.Hansontoons wrote:Dave. Pun jar. Now.

RE that possibility: The problem is, Atsali has suddenly shown that she's physically able to beat BOTH of them up, and she tends to react with overwhelming force to what she perceives as an attack. If this started out as a Tsillah / Thymbris joke, and they're going ahead with it even after finding out what Atsali can do, they may wind up with more to be afraid of than shadows.KnightDelight wrote:I have to wonder if we're not in the midst of a well worn mother-daughter prank. Atsali and the bear may be the targets of a joke shadow girl and mom-of-the-dead have played on more than one occasion on unsuspecting newbies. I find it hard to believe either of these two would be afraid of shadows of any kind.
Just Dessert is indeed a great place, but I think, esp considering all the lovely ladies in the current arc,Dave wrote:(Dave) places a gift certificate, good for one jumbo-sized portion of any treat at San Francisco's excellent bakery "Just Desserts", into the Pun Jar.Hansontoons wrote:Dave. Nudge gets it somewhere...eee wrote:Also, we know Tsillah fairly well by this time. I can't see her as someone who goes for long jokes. A sudden "SURPRISE!" is her style. Mommie Dearest might be influencing her, but I don't see Thymbris as a major practical joker, either.
Hey, at least I didn't point out how Nadette is the one apparently fated with falling into such traps.Dave wrote:To quote AnotherFairportfan: Hsssssss.Catawampus wrote:Wouldn't that be more Atsali's job, though?sheik wrote:Which brings to mind Calista's talent with gossamer.
If she is there, it stands to reason she's using it to trip any booby traps.
