"One shudders to imagine what inhuman thoughts lie behind that mask..."

Note: That's only the first thing I thought of when I saw today's comic and NOT meant to be a reflection of what I think about Crickets mental state. That, I have NO idea.

Indeed it is... What ever made you think of doing that???
I put the original website and copyright on the wallpaper but inverted things so they would be white on a black background.
I think what l_w means is WHY.

I seem to recall that, during the Anasazi storyline, there were people who were openly speculating why the vampires were included in the storyline.

Paul is a master storyteller. We're reading a couple of paragraphs at a time. Imagine reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets a couple of paragraphs a day.

Most of our solutions would probably consist of having folks around like the GGG, Monica, Shelly, and Phix to whack heads together when people didn't do what we suggested.

Yea reading one paragraph at a time would suck. Now having a group of super powered beings to do your bidding, not such a good idea either. Unfortunately power tends to go to most peoples head. not me of course but there may be others. As a wise man once said, one mans philosophy is another mans belly laugh.

Agreed, but if one only reads the word balloons then they are missing half or more of the story that Paul is telling.

"You're right!" he said, cowering back from the Demon of Lost Plot Threads with an expression of horror on his face. "Why, simply conveying the emotions conveyed by Paul's drawings of his characters' body language could require entire chapters of exposition!"

He slumped to the ground, aghast at the effort which loomed ahead of him like a pissed-off Librarian.

"Why are you looking so dejected," said a figure who had just entered the room, looking rather out of place with his green, full-length oilskin and cowboy hat. "I fail to see anything dreadful here," he added. "At least, nothing that a lot of determination, and even more time, won't manage to overcome," he continued, with a determined look on his face. He unsnapped his oilskin, took it off, and laid it on the back of the nearest chair. He kept his hat on, however, as he walked towards the person who was still speechless on the floor...
