Man, I really don't like Bellisario's Maxim. I know, it's a necessary thing, because authors can't possibly create background info deep enough to withstand the scrutiny of thousands of bored nerds and geeks about every single aspect of their stories, but still.

It was the children that were dumped in the ocean. And not just the six women's children. All of the Etheitian babies. Newborn, unborn, all of them.

And: "All the pregnant women were dumped in the centers of the deserts of the world!" Not really clear to me if those are just the six, or if it's every pregnant woman among the Etheitians in stasis.

Lily may have been the only one of the dumped women to die alone. Or the only surviving vampire resulting from those dumped women who died alone. Who would know?

I stand corrected... late late nights do funny funny things to the memory... and I admit to not looking back and checking, trying to rely on my faulty memory. How hard it is to remember every little thing about this story... thirteen years of intrigue and comedy, intricate plots and back story. I've spent hours looking for something I correctly remembered, not able to find it... searching through the years of strips...

That would make sense, but it assumes she knew the other women. From her point of view at the time she was the only one dumped. She had no concept that any of those events happened. She simply found herself in the desert with no idea of where or why. It's unlikely she even knew the others, let alone knew they were dumped as well.

Not really. We are talking about things from Paul's imagination. He often introduces physical explanations using terms we are familiar with to make it all more plausible. Galactic rotational energy funneled through wormholes and powered by contained (and well aged) plutonium, for example. Likewise, he has done so with the concept of the crystal storage media. He has given us a basic read on how they work and we take it from there.

Thanks but i had to use brain bleach and eye bleach to get rid of that image from the first time. I would rather not reference it again.
