So, the same wormhole network that is utilized by the Golem Girls (most notably, Bud's Golf Ball Drill Hurl and Bud's Calendar Machine Disposal Hurl) to absorb the immense equal and opposite forces and to transport their bodies intact (and their clothes... kinda intact most of the time) may be capable of handling the mass that is lost during transformation.
Since then it has been revealed the star gate, and poitting, use quantum technology to achieve the transfers. This also explains the erratic nature of Monica's ability to poit. The Heisenberg principle applied at the quantum level and it takes a LOT of practice to control it. The GG have been using it a long time and are that good. Monica is still learning but she has shown steady improvement over the years. Her landing used to be terrible. This reduces the effects of Newton's third law by a huge amount as force is not exerted to achieve motion at all. But it does leave the first two laws fully active. SO mass is still an issue.

I'm no expert in quantum mechanics (indeed, Richard Feynman himself said nobody understands quantum mechanics), but I've got a sneaking suspicion that Paul is using the word "quantum" as a partially realistic "applied phlebotnium".
On that note, the quantum foam hypothesis is sometimes interpreted in such a way that Planck-scale wormholes supposedly randomly and spontaneously appear and disappear. So, perhaps
Boxilar's idea still fits Paul's... vague explanation.
By the way, I'm not trying to insinuate that Paul should provide a more specific and complete explanation. If anything, I like it better this way... Paul can't be trapped in his own explanations, and thus won't need to retcon later. That's something I've always hated about superhero comics that explain too much; they establish a scientific explanation for a power or event, then have to pull some enormously confusing Crisis bullcrap to retcon everything. Sometimes, it's better to let us nerds, geeks, dorks, and fans speculate, hypothesize, theorize, and debate until our little hearts and big brains are content.

Am I the only one that remembers the conversation, that Paul endorsed, about the Akashik records?
AIR, they access the records and 'adjust' themselves to where they need to go. No complex vector math. And maybe an insight to how all of Lanthian 'magic' works...
(This was all done in the forum, not the strips. So it could take a while to find it)

I remember the mention of that process in the comics (I wasn't reading the comics or the forum at that point when it was mentioned), and thinking that that "solves" a lot of the physics problems.
Poiting doesn't have to take into account the movement of matter and energy, since it isn't moved. It is simply re-written to not be in one place and to instead be in another place. As far as the universe is concerned, the object poited was
already wherever it ended up. That could also be how transformations occur: the universe is re-written so that you
already had bat wings, an elephant's trunk, and the feet of a lobster. There's no actual transformation process, because you instantly go from having been one shape to having been the other.
Granted, this all simply pushes the physics and other questions back a stage or two, but it does at least provide a mechanism for the way things work.

It would also suggest that
The Writer's Guide To The Universe would be one of the most sought-after artifacts of power that could be imagined!

If being able to simply re-write reality was as common an ability as it would have to be to function as the means of transportation, transformation, and excessive application of force, it would completely break the plot.
Imagine giving 25% of the world population access to cheat codes for the Universe. Inevitably, some depressed or insane paranormal would decide to delete the universe. Poof. It would probably happen a couple days after the cheat codes were first released.
That's a really, really big game-breaking glitch.
Interesting and totally irrelevant observation I just made: this little guy

laughs at an integer multiple of Lindsey Stirling's Anti Gravity song. Huh.

I'm assuming you mean poiting someone--and yes, it should be possible. I forget who poited pizza into Monica once upon a time.
Oh, and regarding bear-assed furries: in another comic, it was pointed out that the demons are nakkers--but their "plumage" covers up the necessary. I suspect we could use the same terms here, or else use the more appropriate "pelt"

well strictly speaking, the stomach is not a 'solid space' .. it is a cavity, so the general effect would be like eating a pizza whole.. a very skill-full poiter indeed..

Tepoz poited a whole turkey inside M once, doing the archive crawl to find it.
