As opposed to "...one of the two remaining Anasazi..."
The other is a vampire and thus technically dead. So what I said is correct. lol.

But does she know how to do the Grey Seal properly?
Of course. No one ever has, or ever will put on the Greys without making that simple, meaningful gesture known as the Grey Seal.

It's the only way to get the zipper closed.

(with thanks to Randall Garrett and "Backstage Lensman" of course)
Actually thanks to E.E. Smith. I've loved this series for years. Randall, and a few others, have expanded the series but they were not as good. It's tough to do good space opera.

Actually, Dave was quoting from Garrett's parody, "Backstage Lensman"

MIB covers her tracks.

Depends how you interpret "MIB". If you interpret it as the name of an organization (singular), "covers" would be better. If you interpret it as an acronym for "the Men In Black" (plural) then "cover" is more appropriate.

And, of course, you can be ambiguous, and use it in ways which imply both interpretations in the same paragraph... grammatically allowed in English when referring to mysterious secret organizations whose members carry little flashy things ;)
But there are 2 verbs in the sentence and they both need to agree consistently.

It's either "MIB" as a singular organization and the verbs are plural: "MIB stays out of her way and covers her tracks"

or

"the MIB"(the Men In Black) as a plurality of men and the verbs are singular: "the MIB stay out of her way and cover her tracks"

Can't have it both ways without jarring the reader.

I think I said it earlier - I always thought in Wapsi MIB stood for 'Monsters in Black', and they just never clued in the humans.....

John Keel's original reports of Men In Black were obvious monsters, awkwardly trying to pass as human.
