Her eye stems are what got me. Guys always complain that its obvious when a guy is excited. I would say pickle has a very obvious tell as well.

Pickle is (at the very least) almost as old as Atsali is. She may be older than Atsali.

Her nominal age of "15" is a convenience number (that is, a useful fiction). It seems to be based on the point at which Pickle matured enough that she could weave her tendrils into a human form. This was years after she was "born" (cloned, DNA-engineered, whatever) in a lab.

Remember, when Atsali was a toddler, Castela was already on the scene... a "widdle potted plant" which was already capable enough of defending Atsali with lethal force, and capable of recognizing adults and sensing their intentions and (apparently) capable of understanding at least some speech.

Now, it's possible that the para world has rules (de facto laws) which regulate physical contact between paranormals of very different para-species, having different rates of maturation (just as they apparently have different rules about "drinking age"). Pickle might be considered "too young" by those rules, even though she's chronologically in her late teens (at least). However, we haven't seen any such details. And, those rules might have difficulty dealing with Pickle's case, anyhow, since she is apparently unique.

The fact that there's a different drinking age which applies to young paranormals, does seem to indicate that paras are not necessarily bound by the laws of whatever human government regulates the place in which they live. We don't know how this actually works out in practice.

I think we are dating these entries wrong; they should be for the Mon-Wed-Friday's dates, vs the date the strip hit the web (late on Thursday for example...).

Moment 2019-02-08 would seem to be more appropriate.
