I have a feeling that Nadette may be the victim of bad information.

Yes, Atsali is a predator, but she doesn't go trying to kill people intentionally.

Now, maybe after a few red cards for high sticking, maybe she might not be playing hockey anymore...

Predators, eh? How about a team of Hippos, Rhinos, and Cape Buffalo? Vegetarians all, but some of the most dangerous creatures in their lands!

As I pointed out, Predators are considered pretty powerful stick-wielders in middle Tennessee.

Given that the team includes flight-capable players, perhaps paranormal school field hockey has a slightly different definition of "high" in regards to hockey sticks.

Right. "Gottleib" is Jesse.

A little research reveals that Coach's name is "Mrs Adler" - which suggests she may be a flyer.

If you asked which animal kills the most people by more-or-less intent, i believe it's cows.

Moose are right up there, too, considering their relatively-limited range.

The most common cause of human deaths throughout history (and before) has been disease carried by mosquitoes. Can't quite recall right now, but I think I'd heard/read that the number of deaths by mosquito-delivered illnesses is greater than all other causes combined.

So do your part for humanity, and buy a bug zapper.

I almost automatically tip over anything with water in it that has set for a while. It isn't like an OCD thing, though. It's more of a "I should dump this so mosquitoes have one less place to spawn."

Also, as for herbivores that kill people, did anyone mention hippos? They kill more people than lions do. But that's because the fat bastards are camping in the water.

Technically it's the disease, and not the mosquitoes.

I dump standing water too . . . though I used to carefully dump it into the neighbors' fish pond. (Assuming clean water . . . but if it wasn't clean, there likely weren't mosquito larvae in it, either.)

Garrison Keillor did a great expose about that on A Prairie Home Companion some years ago... The Attack of the Killer Holsteins.

Their kryptonite turned out to be the fact that they badly needed to be milked regularly.

Yes hitting a deer, moose, elk or even a cow can be a really bad thing. I have never seen though any published statistics on hitting and elf though. Could you provide a link to this information please?
