Anyone know where the window Nudge jumped out of is in frame #1?

I wouldn't be sure Nudge is saved. Phix may be just taking her back for 'lunch'.

Ditto but Phix's face is the real gem.

It's the perfect rendition of the pained "Oh Gawd! Do I really have to put up with this?"
Or that I'm never going to live this down look. She should be giving Nudge her You know, I can still drop you if you don't shut the hell up look.

Yes indeed! We knew that the Library is somehow outside of our own time and dimension... and it looks as if its whole plane of existence is not only separated from our own, but also largely separated from such mundane things as planetary bodies. This could have given Nudge a lot longer to fall before she would have hit anything solid.

This scene reminds me somewhat of some classic album cover work Roger Dean did for Yes ("Fragile" and "Close To The Edge") back in the early 1970s.
or if you are not as old as us  :ugeek: 'avatar' .. :)

Of course the library is only a part of the whole city.. 'roads?? who needs roads???' portals are much simpler... :/

Doesn't need a look. She's thinking it so loudly Monica can probably hear her in Minneapolis.

Usually there is an arrow that points to a spot and states, "you are here."
Not gonna see that, this time, are we?

So, not only do we learn the Bibliothiki has an exterior (I honestly wasn't so sure, until Bia was sent there quite suddenly), but it resembles a cross between Cloud City and The Ways. Neat!

Phix: Don't worry, I've got you.
Nudge: You've got ME?? Who's got YOU?!?!?

Hint to Phix. Fly over a nice lake. Smile at Nudge and let go. 'Have a nice bath?' Toss a bar of soap after her.
Ambush questions are fun. Watching the mental impact of them as they distort, or crumble, opinions based on faulty logic.

Was hoping to see a tiny Nudge dropping from one of the floating buildings in the first panel...

WHOA!!!!! That second panel of Phix diving would've made fantastic nose art on a WWII warbird.

I have to say that I jumped from the bed this morning to check the strip and made a noise similar to Nudge's when I saw it.

And while I would love to discuss today at length... I have to get to class. Pharmacology bright and early this morning...
