because the doors are the double-wide sliding-from-both-sides to the center with no vertical bar in the way... even then I'll bet some STILL had to maneuver to get in.

The cart tunnels for some stores have an 8x5 bay door on the outside. Provided they can duck, they can get in through there if the path is clear. Additionally, the sliding doors can actually be swung outward from their tracks and allow for an extra 2½ inches of width.

Now the question is what's the cause?

• *Can't afford nutritious foods
  *Food insecurity (going hungry, then overeating, then going hungry again)
  *High levels of stress/ anxiety/depression
  *Medical issues they can't afford to take care of (thyroid issues, PCOS, ovarian cysts, etc)
  *Low quality education (leads to a weak mind and bad life choices)
  *Addicted to instant gratification

Haggis is fine provided it's prepared properly. Ketchup also helps.

Well, duh. Cheaper food is made with simpler products, which have lots of fat, sugar, and high starch content.

PCOS affects 1 in every 5 women. It screws with blood sugar and hormones. Treatment is expensive because it requires both hormone therapy and diabetic medication.

That said, yes, a lot of these go hand in hand for some folks. Viscious cycles and all that.

Or, more generally, limited access to nutritious foods.

Quite a few poorer neighborhoods don't have a decent supermarket in the area... just "convenience" stores, liquor stores, and maybe some fast-food restaurants. Buying fresh vegetables and good nutritious ingredients requires traveling for some miles, which requires a means of transportation (which means $), time, and opportunity. And, preparing good food requires knowing how... a lot of people grow up without ever learning more than a little about how to cook.

Alcoholism may play a role in some cases... add calories from beer, subtract taking proper care of self...

And a considerable number simply don't care . . . They choose to not eat right, but to eat what tastes good.

I was referring to the fact in a lot of the pics there were no shoes and/or shirt worn, some had very little clothes on.
I've seen several stores, including Wal-Sams kick people out via law enforcement for coming in half naked, or wearing no shoes. The one exception was when the girls heel broke, and she begged for even a pair of flip flops so she could come in to buy new shoes.
Manager grabbed the gaudiest neon pair of dollar flip flops to see if she was serious, and she gratefully put them on and limped to the shoe aisle to buy a new pair of shoes...paid for the gaudy flip flops too.

I'm not talking the hoochie mamas with halter tops, short shorts and hooker heels, dripping with fake bling...those I'm used to.

I've never understood the connection between poverty and morbid obesity- yet it does seem that morbid obesity is more common among the poor than any other class. The only connection I can see would be education- poor education often produces weak minds and weak bodies, that the connection is a common cause.

Chitterlings are also quite tasty when prepared right (i like fried but boiled is also good), dont mean i can get my wife to eat them or fix them. Come to think of it a lot of people kinda turn green at the thought of eating them.
