Digit is a jumping spider, after all.

I'd expect that that trick would work better with Dietzel doing the jumping, since dogs are denser than spiders...

When Calista zapped Dietzel, I seem to recall she immediately tried to figure out how to undo it. I always thought that meant it was permanent unless actively counter-spelled.

I interpreted it as probably temporary but of uncertain duration. Which doesn't mean she wouldn't feel a responsibility to end it quickly.

After all, if your home is about 50 degrees Fahrenheit, that's a temporary condition of somewhat-uncertain duration - if you do nothing, it will end by midsummer. But that doesn't mean you don't turn on the heat to get it warm NOW.

Given the natural outcome of this adventure, I would say either party is equally dense...
