According to the "Location" tag, they are at Nadine's house.
Interesting . . . the christmas eve strip was talking about Berdine & Nadette's family's "cabin", which I took to mean a remote location like a vacation or ski cabin.

If it is a remote location, it depends on what they did . . . if they snuck away meaning to be back before they were missed, falling asleep pretty well destroyed their chances of getting back! And that would explain Nadette's panicked reaction . . .

After that it depends on how they got there . . . I would suspect that after last time, the first place Katherine will check when she realizes they're missing is to see if they went through the library. If they did, then she knows where they are (at least approximately) and can reassure Nadette's parents.

After that, it depends on what kind of lesson they want to teach the girls . . . I can see Katherine going with the "I'm very disappointed" routine, which would (IMHO) leave Atsali feeling so small she'd have to be careful microCricket didn't accidentally step on her.

We don't know about Nadette's family, but the "Do you know how much you worried your mother?!" is usually a useful play.

Also, if the above is true, I suspect that they might have been "discovered" if things were progressing too rapidly before the eggnog binge.

They are at One of the Ursa's houses. Seems the shapeshifters are well-off and this particular location has been named by 'the Word of God' as 'CABIN'.
[hah, Cabin ref; I got sniped...]

(btw- it's almost 11pm pst and Tues' strip aint been posted yet. I seem to have gotten gr/needy in my old age and have expectations...)

Sarge; you had me singing along, out-loud mind you, Well Done...

as for sleeping with your glasses on, pfft... it's easy. all that's required is that you don't move your head around much to prevent them from getting thrown off, and/or not lie down on your side where they could get squished between your head and the pillow (or equivalent). if they are properly fitting glasses, then they should have zero problems staying attached to your face... i KNOW... I routinely have to unbend the nose-piece thingies on mine, OR try and search thru the blankets/on the floor to find out where the heck they went to because i fell asleep in mine. but... on the rare times that i DON'T move around much, when i finally become coherent enough to realize it, they are still there...

falling asleep in them the way those two are positioned... yeah, it would be no problem for the glasses to have stayed in place.

And let us not forget, Atsali can fly...
but the Library Teleport System seems to operate more like how the Star Trek Transporter does... there are established teleport pads in various places that can vorp you AWAY from them, sending you TO (in theory) "anywhere" but trying to get BACK... nope, you gotta either communicate with the base station and tell them WHERE you are in order for them to "lock on" and vorp you BACK... or you need to know where the "Doorways" are, like the one that was in the alley the two of them used to get out to Mapimi the second time.

True . . . but teenagers are notorious for not thinking things through.

My random hit was this: http://wapsisquare.com/comic/bjarnionice/

Which is rather appropriate, as Montréal is in the process of getting a foot of snow dumped on us... :D
