After reflecting on what Devyn said yesterday about control of minerals and today's strip, it occurred to me that Poseidon was also the god of earthquakes.

I'm sure that had a sobering effect.eee wrote:On the one hand, Devyn has just demonstrated considerable power, AND that she doesn't like being condescended to. And has a mean streak.
On the other, she scared Connie. Conscience, an elemental who can beat the snot out of a Titan, scares Sphinxes, and the full extent of whose power WE and SHE do not know. AND who is drunk, I'd point out. Devyn may be able to call on the ocean, but that doesn't mean she can trump Connie if Connie gets angry.
Let's hope they both deal with this calmly.
That cant forget what she is and use the water like it was part of her body... just imagineif she needed to scratch her back in the place no one can itchAnotherFairportfan wrote:Game and set to the cute little girl in the skimpy bikini.
Well, suffice it to say that was a very sobering event for Connie... and Devyn knows it... and id reveling in iteee wrote:On the one hand, Devyn has just demonstrated considerable power, AND that she doesn't like being condescended to. And has a mean streak.

There's minerals in a lot more places than that. She could literally make you dance by moving your bones.Warrl wrote:Another thought: a normal human body (not sure if this would apply to Connie) is mostly water. Devyn could probably kill people in large numbers by moving their spinal fluid around.
If you're talking about the "T" that goes at the beginning of the word "tsunami", and therefore should be present on the thread title, I don't think Sgr. Howard caught on to what you were doing...jwhouk wrote:(whistles innocently as he polishes the capital "T")
That was not sufficient water to travel a Tsunami any distance- the only wave action will be right where Connie can see it- besides, she's looking DOWN not OUT TO SEA.lake_wrangler wrote:If you're talking about the "T" that goes at the beginning of the word "tsunami", and therefore should be present on the thread title, I don't think Sgr. what Dyven said; ". . . the control over Minerals. Salt deposits aren't quite as limber. . . .but the ocean, . . ." Sounds like she could make your blood dance a jig, but could only break your bones . . .Gyrrakavian wrote:There's minerals in a lot more places than that. I wonder if her family is responsible for reports of skeleton warriors (not the Rob Liefeld cartoon) and ghouls (proper term for undead "zombies") throughout the centuries.
Never apologize for creativity!Sgt. Howard wrote:"TROUBLE-With a Capitol 'T' that rhymes with 'D' that stands for DEVYN!!!" (My apologies to "The Music Man")
