I doubt it even enters into the equation for Suzi... when it comes to a food source, a Vampire can't afford to be pragmatic. Lily is another story... She's been around for thousands of years... what, five millennia or so IIRC. Time for her to ruminate the ethics of her position. She seems to have been a happy go lucky Ethetian until she was separated from her baby and dropped in the middle of a desert to die alone and forgotten. I truly think she laments each and every one now... which is why she teeters back and forth between trying to live he best she can and self-destructive behavior. I imagine being a law enforcement officer was a means to an end at first, but now probably makes it worse.
