Ya know, in my fanfic I've got Lily ordering and drinking blood- and describing her as 'looking fine'- damn! She is LOOKING FINE!

Really? I've never felt like anything was "off" about Suzie. She's always seemed about as normal as any other character in this comic (meaning that she's got some serious emotional scars in her past and she's a paranormal, but is otherwise just fine as a person).jeffepp wrote:As usual, I am getting bad vibes off this "Suzie". Lilly (I miss her dreadlocks) should feel as something is off, with her around.
In the original book, toons (who do comic strips and comic books, not movies) are heavily discriminated against.Platonix wrote:Bit of a stretch, but...Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Are coming out of the closet?
The Wapsiverse is becoming a 21st Century Discworld? A Magic Inc.?
Will we see a Sam Vines-like character who doesn't want to work with Paras?
(Trying to name a movie with this premise... Eh, I got nothin'.)
That's actually a big problem with the prison industrial complex. The warden can lie through his/her teeth about how a prisoner died.eee wrote: Keep in mind, they're probably not killing ALL the death row inmates in ONE prison. I would imagine this is spread out. Also consider, prison authorities are in a perfect situation to make up cover stories, with the MiB providing backups via autopsy results and staging. Inmate A got hold of a piece of metal, honed it razor sharp, and cut his own throat. Inmates B, C, D, and E were found dead in their cells of natural causes or drug overdoses. Inmate F was conducting a daring escape when his foot slipped, he fell 100 feet, and his shattered body was found in a pool of his own blood at the foot of the prison. Inmate G was executed by lethal injection. At his request the process was closed to the press and public, witnesses are listed as Officers Pratt and McBride.
Lots of people die in prison naturally. Not many on death row, but it happens.
And speaking of autopsies, as part of that the blood is usually drained, anyway, so once the corpse reaches the Medical Examiner it's all over.
I'm wondering when we're getting back to that.eee wrote: Pickle killed a fairy and can disintegrate objects with her bare hands. She's not completely innocent or clueless.

Hell, it happens at jails, too. We've had two “suicides" in the last two months. Jails cells don't have trashcans or sheets.

Should be along any time now. . .*drops wristwatch into the pun jar for good luck*
I had no idea. Funny aside, I bought a Laserdisk player last century and in order to have something to play on it out of the box they included a copy of 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' in the box.AnotherFairportfan wrote: In the original book, toons (who do comic strips and comic books, not movies) are heavily discriminated against.
Also, it's set in the 70s.
And it's called Who Censored Roger Rabbit. Roger hires Eddie to find out who murdered him.
It's his own fault for leaving us such fertile stuff and ourselves no other choice but to bake bread with the ingredients...jwhouk wrote:You know, as this week has been going on, I'm getting the feeling that Pablo is sabotaging some of our fanfic intentionally...

Separate is good. If my stuff ever became canon Wapsi would jump a whole tank of sharks with freakin laser beams on their heads.GlytchMeister wrote:Meh. If he's sabotaging our fanfics, we can just make a distinction between the canon Wapsiverse and the fanVerse.

shadowinthelight is a Drunken Zen Master of rescripting. Dig through the long Fan Art thread and you'll see some mind-bending funnies. It'll take you a while (it's a long thread) but it's a worthwhile archive-dive.GlytchMeister wrote:Your stuff?
What, did you post your writings before I came around or have you never shared? Because I don't recall seeing any fanfic by you.
Oh no. I've mastered the art of escaping TV Tropes. This thread is no-Dave wrote:(and the whirlpool begins to tug inwards)
See you in a week or three!
Thank you. But that is a weird title considering if I counted the times I've drunk alcohol on my hands I would have a few fingers left over. I may be on something, but if I am it's strong enough for me to not even know.Dave wrote:shadowinthelight is a Drunken Zen Master of rescripting. They do have a tendency to get away from me and treat the 4th wall like a mere suggestion.I don't think we'll ever know for certain whether shadowinthlight's rescripting of an Atsali panel, having her ignite her own flatulence (and then later comment bitterly about the weird fan-rescriptor having her do so), might have inspired Paul to have had Jessie do just this (as canon!). But, it's possible!

...yeah, ok. I'm stuck.
Hey now! I'm a seasoned archive binger! EGS, OotS, Wapsi...oldmanmickey wrote:these young ones seem to have never ran into the quicksand that is an archive.
True "drunken mastery" is very much a state of mind... a willingness to be loose, to push against the borders, to follow the inspiration in unconventional ways. I don't think requires, or even necessarily benefits from the consumption of alcohol or other intoxicants... the best is distilled directly from within the psyche of the implementor.shadowinthelight wrote:Thank you.
