If it's a lake, it's not hard to hide. I mean, "Land of 10,000 Lakes" is on the license plates.

Opus the Poet wrote:As I pointed out in the FB posting, the parapool is 65 FEET deep at that point. Something I should have also pointed out is the whale tanks at Seaworld are not that deep by 15-30 feet (depending on which Seaworld you measure). That is one extremely large pool.
illiad wrote:yeah, and people still keep anthropomorphising it from 'human' standards... Its a PARANORMAL world, guys!! the pool has to deal with various others, who are 'short' at 15 feet high, and various other things, so 'human' cleaners are hopeless...
You beat me to it... (I hadn't yet checked on the comic, since I couldn't get on the site, this morning...zachariah wrote:Not really for Para's. For all we know Brandi may have brought Stinky along to play fetch.
Another thought along with this. If it is that deep then how wide, or long it is? An Olympic pool is 50M by 25 M by 1 M (Or maybe a bit deeper). So keeping the same proportions this is 3250 M Long, 1625 M wide (total area is 1320 acres). This is a lake, not a pool, and a bit hard to hide. But being a lake means they can establish an ecology in there to keep it clean and healthy. Besides for all we know chlorinated water can be harmful for some para's.
This makes me wonder if the 65 means something other than how deep it is at that point.
It may have floated off into the Houston Shipping Canal...lake_wrangler wrote:My other thought was: hey, nice too see the former-queen-bee-turned-protector in action...

Hey! What happened to the "cool" emoticon? The one with the sunglasses?

I think I'd rather relax by the pool.

Well, in Houston, you know it's a 'bit damp' when your car floats away... :/Dave wrote:Yeah, I'd say that 11 inches of rain in less than 2 days does qualify as "damp". Definitely a packet flood, and a serious denial-of-dryness attack. Those hackers ought to be ashamed of themselves.
Don't judge that site too harshly. Through it, I found a couple of new comics that I added to my reading list.Sgt. Howard wrote:And here I was yelling at Atsali to do the same... OK, HELLA off-topic... there is this site, "the Bad Webcomics Wiki"... you would not believe what the diseased turkey-baster who runs the place has to say about about Mr. Taylor's work! Apparently he is offended by gratuitous cleavage shots and cannot seem to get past that... wow... then I started perusing some of the other webcomics that this internal hemorrhoid finds distasteful... and find a goodly number of the webcomics that I enjoy!
I have een that site... it is obviously just aimed at bad mouthing ANY comic...Thor wrote:Don't judge that site too harshly. Yeah. Their "review" of "The Wotch" was ... fascinating ... particularly their comments about the creators in particular. Can you say "repressed homophobic projection"?illiad wrote:I have een that site... it is obviously just aimed at bad mouthing ANY comic...Thor wrote:Don't judge that site too harshly. The few times I've ever seen that guy say anything good about any webcomic, it was always in reviews of some OTHER webcomic. (For example, his review of The Wotch held up several other webcomics as better examples of gender-bending. The site includes a review of only one of those others, and it's a negative review.)Sgt.
