I suspect the Bears live North of the TC proper. Lot of land where you can build log homes.

MSP = TC = a big conglomerate of cities located in East central Minnesota.

And also, where the story is (mostly) located.

Oh. So TC is Twin Cities. But what does MSP actually stand for? Minneapolis-St. Paul? Are those the actual Twin Cities?

(Heh...Whenever people say Twin Cities to me, I instantly think Bloomington-Normal)

That is where good and loving friends come into the picture.
Well as mickey put it above your post, Nadette has some major ulterior motives for wanting to skip on over to visit Atsali. Or maybe I misread him but he ended up making a good point regardless. Da Bear suddenly feels like the vision is going her way.

 Um, really?

You're saying that he didn't have this planned out going in and just pulled this out of his ass to save himself effort?

Wow. Just wow.

Way back in the day when WS was just a goofy slice-of-life strip about 20-somethings hanging out together in Minneapolis, that might have been the case, but at some point around the time that the Golem Girls showed up, the evidence was pretty strong that Mr. Taylor was working with at least the outlines of a larger story tapestry. And considering how the whole Kath and Atsali Adventure arc would have been an unholy mess without careful pre-plotting, I think it is fairly established that he knows at least 95% of what's going to happen months before he starts sketching any particular page.

But if you want to think that he played the Gay Goat Card as a haphazard means to prune a storyline, I can't stop you.

I second the notion.

But in Paul's defense, we do have a 4 or 5 subplots going on right now. Though, that could have been avoided by holding off on a few of them (the para pool could have waited another month or two)

Wow. Plot line whiplash.

Jacob was resolved so quickly it wasn't funny. Although the whole satyr being omnisexual is a little overplayed, so I hope he at least "picks a team". I doubt we'll ever hear from him again, however.

Yeah to be perfectly honest, I'm less annoyed by Atsali not hooking up with Goat-boy. As I am that the fact that Goat-boy will now become a Non-Entity in the comic. We'll never hear about him again aside from maybe in passing if Nadette happens to talk to his sister.

Remember no moose, is good moose!

Besides they like a cold, wet swampy area, and that was taken down when the show ended.

Nononono, is moose and squirrel. Most dangerous of graduate from Wossamotta U. Frostbite Falls just north of twin cities.

Give yourself a cookie from Confusion Corner.

Yes, they are indeed the Twin Cities. Minneapolis (where our story is set) to the west, and Saint Paul to the east. (And me about two-three hours farrrrr to the east.)

And, if you look at the satellite view of the two cities, you'll notice that some forested places sprawl out to the west and a bit to the north. The truth is, you get further north than Lino Lakes (where I-35 splits), you're starting to talk about the North Woods area.

A Møøse once bit my sister... No realli! She was Karving her initials on the møøse with the sharpened end of an interspace tøøthbrush given her by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and star of many Norwegian møvies: "The Høt Hands of an Oslo Dentist", "Fillings of Passion", "The Huge Mølars of Horst Nordfink"...

She should have knøwn better than to attempt to karv into one of the aggressive vamøøse of Sjunkhatten. They are carnivøres and they do not like dentists. If you meet one, you should... well, you should run. Skedaddle. Exit stage left. Make tracks.

Nadette better reign her happy in hard. At some point, it has to occur to Atsali that she's a seer and should have seen that Jacob was interested in a guy...which would lead her to ask why Nadette allowed her to put herself out there by asking him out when it would hurt to get rejected this way. I mean, the little siren has been a bit clueless about these things so far, but that can't last forever. :( It also makes me like Nadette a little less knowing that she's playing this hand to her own benefit...even if she "knows" Atsali will end up happy, it's a bit self-serving and I don't like that behavior from someone who calls herself a friend.

Oh...and hi everyone! :) Long time no see!

Oh. That resolves the Jacob issue. I guess. Unless he makes a return visit.

I wonder how his sister took this news.

Parsing Atsali's comment of "I know that you'll get what I'm talking about" to Nadette, I'm unclear. Is this an acknowledgement that Nad' is gay and might know what to make of Jacob coming out of the closet? Is this a suggestion 'Sali suspects Nadette had foreseen this and that's why she arranged the date? Or is this some sort of allusion to Nadette's quiet pursuit of Atsali and how that hasn't worked too well for either of them? Or maybe I'm reading too much into her choice of words...

:D Julie! *Glomph!*

I hope Nadette isn't like this with all of her visions. I mean, if she is, and she's this excited about this time, then she must have a great deal of success forcing future events to play into her favor... So the whole "those who seek to hasten the end of the world may delay it, and those seeking to prevent the end may bring it about all the more quickly" idea doesn't apply to her.
And that opens up the possibility of Chaos Theory. Which is just so much fun. :|

And I also hope somebody gets a clue and sorts this out (I'm looking at you, Berdine) before Atsali comes to a hard realization like a face plant to concrete. Because realizing that a trusted friend has been manipulating you, especially in a cosmic paranormal I-know-your-future inside-trading sort of way, almost the entire time, is gonna suuuuck.
