I think that she's simply taken its place as the new choker.
Jay-Em wrote:A..."Student of Mine"??? Did Phix moonlight as a Psychology-professor?? Tina's "shell" was a Psychologist ater all. Who knows how much of her former "self" is still part of the covey she is now.

Phix has been way more active in the background of the Wapsi-Crew than initially hinted at, it seems.
Interrrresting..
I think that Phix is mainly referring to her letting Tina develop relatively unhindered, with her giving Tina the occasional bit of guidance and push. The first time that they met that Tina is aware of, Phix just used the occasion to rattle Tina. Later, Phix took a bit more of an active role in getting Tina to work out her motivations, in a way doing to Tina what Tina is always doing to others. So Tina could be considered something of a student or a project of Phix's.

One with a ten-year-plus archive.

And i will post a link where you will have to see it.

And then i will post a link to its TVTropes page.

This will be in gratitude for your link to an interesting-looking webcomic i hadn't heard of before.

"I hope she's not my mother...." Well, we think at least one of her parents was a Miami drug lord (technically, a female drug lord = drug lady, but common usage would probably be 'female drug lord') who 'died' in an FBI raid - Now, who do we know that's done that kind of disappearing act before? Could it beeeeeeeee....BIA!?

If Bia is Tina's mother and Tina's soul is now part of Shelly's conscience, that makes for some pretty wierd paranormal inbreeding.

No. The drug lord daddy could still be the case. But Bia could be Tina's grandma.

Well, ya know the island is a place where paras can be paras. This might be a good time for Tina's demons to emerge and enjoy the festivities as individuals. After all "Tina" is not the body. It can just be parked in the corner somewhere while the demons frolic and play . Assuming demons ever frolic and play. For that matter, do demons have a morning routine? Brush teeth, shower, etc? Or some equivalent activities. Of course they don't sleep, so that may not have much meaning. We do know Tina's demons can be happy to see morning come ... http://wapsisquare.com/comic/the-smell- ... ng-spider/ On other mornings, however ... http://wapsisquare.com/comic/morningdialogue/ not so much.

This may be a big surprise party for Tina for all we know. Some sort of graduation or level transition celebration as Mark N and My2Cents alluded. That comic which was referenced, made me think there should be a pinata here as well. Maybe full of Pizza gift certificates. Anyway, it would help explain Bia's appearance. It's unclear at this point, however, if her intervention was part of the "plan" or a counter to it in some way. We'll see. Heck, I'm still waiting for further discussion of this "light" thingy.

Paul's mentioned that the lack of choker is an art error, but that he doesn't want to go back and re-scan the art. I think we can expect the choker to be back tomorrow.

people are looking for webcomics with 10+ years of archives?

hmmmm .... off the top of my head I can think of three to recommend

Girl Genius - Gaslamp Fantasy (Adventure, Romance, Mad Science!). Started life as a real world comic book. One of 'those' comics that after you read a page you can look at all the stuff in the background and be amazed/amused. Updated three times a week. Also has a couple of radio plays

The Devils Panties - It's Not Satanic Porn. A roughly autobiographical strip. I've been reading it for quite a while and find it most enjoyable. re-looking at the first few pages when the Artist is in her college days, some pages are a bit on the NSFW side. But then, yesterdays page might be considered the same.

Schlock Mercenary - Comic Space Opera. Follow the [miss]Adventures of a bunch of mercenaries. BEWARE!!! This *IS* a DAILY comic that started the 12th of June, 2000. There are a *LOT* of pages to go through to catch up.

Since I feel like adding one more webcomic to the list, it's been finished for awhile but I still go back and reread it on occasion...

Questionable Content - fifteen years or thereabouts.

Kevin & Kell - one of the very first webcomics, still going strong twenty years in.

Misfile - ten years; amounts to just under a year in story time.

El Goonish Shive - twelve years

I'm sure i can come up with a few more...

QC has only been around for 11 years. It only seems longer.
