Well, a closer approximation of eyes anyway. I wonder if the "Visions" are just dreams. Maybe the demons actually slept. Something they haven't done for uncounted ages, if ever. Another step toward soulification.

We have no idea how long a demon punishment will last. Because they lost all memory they too have no idea how long it will last. They couldn't even remember why they were punished. I remember reading something that it will last until the host body dies and they are freed for their next host. The punishment is limitations placed on them during this hosts life. I guess they are supposed to learn something from this. So I doubt it is over.
It is possible that when they evolve into one being the punishment can be voided as the demons will no longer be single demons anymore. Not likely but possible. Once they merge they are probably no longer demons in fact, they will become something else, an angel perhaps? Or a titan?

This is a definite case of "No good deed goes unpunished".

At a guess Tina’s recent actions have pushed her into the angel category, but, as usual in the Wapsi universe, an angel will be nothing like what you expected. If so, tomorrow will probably start out with something like Tina looking in the mirror and saying something like “SHIT! I’ve turned into a bloody goody-two-shoes! They can't do this to me!” Then, assuming her new status makes her exempt from Sphinx justice, she heads down to The Library Annex for a sit-down with Phix to work out what she is supposed to do now -- There are some times your parole officer (Phix) is the only one you can trust. Phix’s response is likely to be “Your doing fine, just keep going” rather than anything specific, and Tina going “But I’ll make mistakes!”


We need to work out a timeline for how the recent diversion fits in folks. The last strip with Tina was http://wapsisquare.com/comic/out-all-day/, and this is strip is just the morning after.

I think we're seeing the pre-release alpha-test version of Tina 3.0 here.

I'm confused as to what you're talking about, here. Tina is made up of the demons that took over the body when the original Tina died, so they're not "her" demons as much as she's their "mask", with all of them cooperating to give the impression of one person. And this is definitely her. Don't you remember how the black-wing demon's wings turned white at the end of the Georgette segment? And it seems more like they've just become close enough to one vaguely-human entity to be able to have dreams, which I gather they've never experienced before. I'd imagine the whole concept of dreaming would be pretty bizarre and unsettling to anybody who's never experienced it (e.g., http://xkcd.com/203/).

And for the folks who are commenting on Tina's hair...it was already on it's way to this when we last saw her (during the Georgette arc). She just had a rat-tail and a little less buzzed head...and she may still have the rat-tail (though I kind of hope not since I've never liked that look).

Definitely intrigued to learn what the glyphs in the eyes might mean. I'd actually really like it if Tina elected to call on Phix for assistance figuring out what's happening...just because I liked where their relationship/interactions were going.

Okay, I'm going to address the Bia hate. We first met Bia when she was little and everything was wiped out utterly and completely... even souls were out of reach of Charon. Sure Bia has done some really hinky things (by mortal standards), but she's trying to prevent something horrible from happening.*Spoiler If you haven't seen T2 Until I find out differently I'm going with Bia is like Sarah Connor. Everybody in the psychiatric hospital thought she was insane until her son showed up with his pet Terminator to save her from the new and improved version. So would that be Bia's symbol in her eyes or is it a symbol that Bia happens to have? Bia is much like her daughter except her age hasn't fixed any of the bahavior issues that I can see.

I've always understood Tina's covey of demons to be most un-demon-like... After helping with Becky's meds (Phix tells her she made everyone involved do the right thing), she tells Phix that she feels that humans shouldn't have to be made to do the right thing and Phix responds by saying she likes what Tina's demons are becoming... are evolving towards... Poor TIna's demons have been tossed in the deep end and have been forced to sink or swim... and so far have treaded water fairly well. I'm kind of torn if white wing is a progression or yet another entity in addition to blackwing. I'm leaning towards progression because blackwing always had Monica's back and kept the other demons in line... Monica's guardian angel so to speak... The only other explanation suggests that Tina has picked up another entity from somewhere and I don't think that to be the case. As long as we've known about Tina, her demons have always tried to do the right thing... very un-demon-like if you ask me.

That's why you should wait until the early adopters iron out the kinks before you upgrade your system. Tina 3.0 might be a little buggy at first, going from collective to composite can't be easy.
