After her and Atsali's "Little Adventure" wrapped up, Kat decided to Adopt, but 'Sali said she wouldn't go unless Castela was adopted too. "Pickle" was very close to Atsali at the Orphanage, being paired up by protocol in a older-keeping-an-eye-on-younger deal.jayessell wrote:When DID Katherine adopt the kids, and were they 'sisters' before that?

Yes. Many times, especially with an older adopted child, they will not call the new mother "mom," out of love and respect for the original mother. They usually use their first name instead. Additionally, these two have gone to hell and back on a more or less equal footing. It would be perfectly natural for her to use Kath's first name. But Paul has taken to having her call Kath mom right off, and mean it. I think that's great. Of course, as far as Castela is concerned, she has had her fondest wish granted and is delighted to call her mom, as well as, thinking of her as mother, period. And then there is her other wish granted; to be with Atsali in one happy family. Having them engage in normal family activity, including teen angst, and even the usual sibling rivalry just adds to the good feeling of the situation. I just find it all so heartwarming, even if it is fiction.lake_wrangler wrote:Ah. Already been done.jayessell wrote:Atsali should allow Castela to take a non-embarrassing photo of her, so she

Also...
One of the whole family.
That was a good song, but I was thinking more of this one. Kinda matches the two kids at home theme.Fairportfan wrote:Life Goes On, huh?Wdot wrote:This is an altogether nice snapshot of mother and teen. maybe, maybe not.DilyV wrote:I find it rather interesting...
Atsali is worried that other kids will make fun of her because of her 'suddenly acquired assets'. She is both right and wrong. Other girls will see this as something to be jealous of and will try to make fun of her over it to make her look bad. Boys on the other hand will be fascinated by the phenomenon and will shower her with attention.
A double edged sword to be sure, but not quite the end of the world Atsali fears.
Ah, yes, the wonderful gift of having a bunch of guys who would never even give you the time of day before suddenly paying attention to you just because you have tits (tits which, by the way, you hate and are immensely embarrassed by and which you desperately wish would disappear) and the general assumption that girls with big tits want sex all the time (because guys want to have sex with them all the time, and project the wishful thinking). Of course, if she turns these shallow sorts down, they lack the ability to comprehend the real reasons she said no, and just assume that she cruelly wants to deprive them of the sex they're owed in return for being nice to her, even though she's obviously sleeping with everybody else (because she has big tits and curves, so of course she's sleeping with all the other guys) so she must be a bitch, or frigid, or a dyke/carpet muncher/muff-diver/[insert rude euphemism here]. :/DilyV wrote:I find it rather interesting...

Thank God that it doesn't happen this way to us in real life. I was thankful that I had several months to learn how to deal with expanding assets... LOL
