Georgette isn't shaped like that.

Wouldn't this be a wonderful time for Becky to walk in?

Thanks to all of you folks who have started theorizing about what the heck is happening here. On my own, I'm afraid I'd have been too stunned to even progress beyond my "WTF" reaction. I dread this Friday's cliffhanger!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I feel like binge-eating some kolaches in The Corner until this gets resolved.

I'd toast you for that movie reference, but I seem to be out of bread.

That was weird... I typed that Jet was at the temple and it changed my word to indie? I fixed it back this morning... That's been happening a lot lately and not just here...
Back to the strip though... I'm not sure if Monica was totally in control of this shift in reality... While Monica has a bad habit of bringing people forcibly into
her world to explain that gee, Jet... you aren't in Kansas anymore, I'm not sure if she drove this shift to the jungle or not... Look at how she introduced Amanda to that fact. Dropped her into a lake... Katherine was kind of eased into it by meeting Tepoz first if I remember correctly, then confirmed by a poit. One of my favorite poits was the "We're at 13,000 feet where my G'pa took me skydiving... sort your shit" poit. What a way to get your poit across...

"What the fuck?! ... Monica?!"
"No."
"Huh? But-- Oh, geezus, your eyes."
"This is happening."
"Oh my god you're-- you're the legendary--"
"What you are hearing is a track from Sounds of a Tropical Rain Forest: Produced for the American Museum of Natural History, in the original Folkways vinyl pressing of 1965."
"You're the Feral Audiophile--"
"You. Were. Not. Getting. Sushi."
"I. I. i--"
"And you need to listen when someone tells you, No."

She guards the ancient, sacred, wax cylinders, then?

It's all about the listening.

Hmmm. I did notice that while Monica collapsed on Jet, we haven't seen Jet in the coffeeshop since Monica woke up. Not unconscious, not anywhere. Tina's been too focused on Monica to comment on this (or notice?), but...
Did Jet instinctively poit when freed of the tar? Did Monica poit her body to "a safe place" while dealing with the demon plane? Or is she still there and we just haven't gotten the right camera angle?
All may be revealed... eventually.
(And yes, if there's something going on that neither Tina nor Monica can deal with -- ESPECIALLY given that Tina feels she deserves a rather forceful correction -- I wouldn't be surprised to see a call go out for Phix. Perhaps ask Nudge to ask Phix... Nudge, having been part of Tina, might be less scary.)
