Not that I'm agin' Bud, I love the gal, but I don't think she'd want to be leader. And Euryale's habit of turning people to ice would make for some uncomfortable diplomatic incidents.

I just don't think Amanda would be well-suited to be in charge of an island-based enterprise. We know she doesn't always maintain a calm demeanor after a quick dip in the water.

I think what I will do is tomorrow AM (30 June 2014, sometime between midnight-8 AM CDT) is take whatever the totals are of the remaining characters and re-rank them, with the mid-point character at 10.

Right now, that would put Amanda at 6, Phix at 7, Tina at 8, Monica at 9, Dietzel at 10, Euryale at 11, Shelly at 12, Bud at 13, and Katherine at 14.

If Amanda is eliminated by day's end... well, I'll figure it out.

Well, actually... that would tend to cut down on the problem of people not paying their bar tabs.

Very few would need even a verbal warnng, or a single hairsnake giving them a stern look... and there might be no repeat offenders at all.

A tropical-island bar or cafe is going to need a plentiful supply of icecubes... and if they have a tradition of naming some of the custom drinks after former patrons... hmmm.

Our final 9 characters have been reset!

The one up-two down rule still applies, as does the no "negation" voting. ("Negation" is when someone downvotes a character, and then the next poster up-votes them - or vice versa. Result will be character loses two votes automatically.)

The goal is to end up with a "final five" of characters by next Friday afternoon (4 July 2014, after 3 PM CDT). At that point, either the top five or the remaining characters will all have their votes reset to 5. We will then continue for one additional week, and the character with the most votes at week's end will be declared ruler of the Island!
