Well, when Two copulate like that, of course you get Zex...Dave wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 9:39 pmAh.... perhaps a Univac 1108?
I once used one of those to point out an error in my FORTRAN instructor's claims about FORTRAN functions. The program I wrote demonstrated that the Univac 1108 could be programmed to show that 2+2 equals 6 (and of course this is true, for sufficiently large values of 2).

Dr. Ruth, Dr. Ruth...why not write to Dr. Ruth?
So i wrote to Dr. Ruth, who quite helpfully proposed,
I should join a nudist colony and throw away my clothes!
All that sun upon my flesh would set my libido free,
And would guarantee much more of 'it', whatever it might be.
But I didn't feel that I was quite...equipped...for such a life.
Fair of skin just like my sisters - too much sun would give me blisters!
So I think I'll pack the whole thing in....and go home to the wife.

I have looked for it, but can't find it for now... I'm pretty sure it was Ray Stevens who had a song in which he ended up getting "that day and night, satellite, cable TV service"...Just Old Al wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 2:47 pmDr. Ruth, Dr. Ruth...why not write to Dr. Ruth?

In that song, he mentions at one point watching a show where "There's this little woman, who talks real rough, and there ain't no telling WHAT she's liable to say..."

Proof Positive the world is not flat: If it were, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now.

It's "Language, Nudity, Violence, & Sex" by Ray Stevens.lake_wrangler wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 5:16 amI have looked for it, but can't find it for now... Thanks. I hadn't heard that in a long time (just went and listened to it on YouTube). I have it, somewhere in the house, on cassette. Of course, the fact that I don't currently have a cassette player that works probably contributed to my not having heard it in a long time...Bookworm wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 2:22 pmIt's "Language, Nudity, Violence, & Sex" by Ray Stevens.lake_wrangler wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 5:16 amI have looked for it, but can't find it for now... I keep meaning to get myself something going, and transfer all my cassettes to my computer, but I keep forgetting to do so... Not that I have much time to do so, either...

Re: Apologies for downtime
It's interesting: I've been reading quite a few of these, today, and I'm surprised at how much of a tease Charlie Brown was, at the beginning... There are several strips where he plays a joke on Patty, and the last panel has her chasing him, and him saying something to indicate how much he delights in doing that kind of stuff:
(All comics are linked back to their original page)
But that's OK, she gets her kicks in, too:
Of course, Charlie Brown sometimes has to deal with some of the most dangerous questions around...
interestingly, before Lucy, there was Violet:
Also, seeing the beginnings of Schroeder was quite interesting. (Including his very first piano playing...)
Well, I better stop here, before it goes beyond "fair use"...
It is funny, though, to look at the URL, and see the actual date the strip first appeared in a newspaper...
