OK, so I’ve been noticing that while the Strip’s Forum Entries in here:
Daily Wapsi Square Discussion
viewforum.php?f=6
have been pretty much following a convention that makes sense,
they have been slipping, maybe lately more and more,
and specifically in terms of the date of origin.
Hey!, there’s a FAQ!
Forum FAQ
app.php/help/faq
OK, that didn’t help much...
Well, any way as a recent example:
Covered 2019-02-10
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3782
That comic was posted to the web site on a Sunday night, the 10th of Feb, 2019.
In the past, even when we could expect there where going to be 5 comics posted a week, with the occasional hiatus or extra weekend post, it was understood that the next day’s entry would be coming to the web site at sometime before morning, the night before.
For me, on the West Coast as I am, in the Pacific Time Zone (-8 from Greenwich), that usually worked out to 10pm, local time. If I was up and online at 11pm, I could pretty much count on it being there, with the expectation that it was the comic being posted for the following day.
Having the dates in the Title is a very Wapsi thing to do, it helps with searches and keeping things orderly and predictable (important when the Author is ready at a given moment to perform a sharp turn in the story-telling.) Even the first entry into Wapsi-space was named with a date:
"09/09/2001"
http://wapsisquare.com/comic/09092001/
(OK, take a break and click this; http://wapsisquare.com/comic/04122002/) Anyway, I’m missing out on a of of research to further my request, mostly text from Paul himself, but also the back-and-forth where this convention I’ve come to expect got hashed out by the Forum denizens themselves.
So, in conclusion & in as non-confrontational as I can be:
yer Do’n It Wrong. Comply.
Love,
TazManiac

Maybe we take them to dinner and a Roller Derby match?

More like "LEEEEEROOYYYYYY JENNKINNNSSSSS"
I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.
Re: How we DATE the Forum Entries
Kevin Jenkins would be more relevant.
