New Car
Brand-new KIA Sedona; we're paying more than we wanted to (should be able to BARELY afford it).
Pictures when there's a big yellow shiny thing in the sky.

Pictures. LOTS of pictures.
Touchscreen entertainment control
Backup cam. The red and yellow "Where you're going" markers curve as you turn the wheel.
Switchblade key
Girls' first ride
A doorstop
Inclusion of a KIA-branded first-aid kit is ominous. Do they anticipate a need?

Re: New Car
I wanted to post something similar, but did not take the time. Now that it's been done, anything I would say would just be a copycat type of thing. I wasted my chance...Catawampus wrote:You're filling your new bright yellow KIA full of helium?AnotherFairportfan wrote:Pictures when there's a big yellow shiny thing in the sky.
On a different topic: are all modern engine compartments that crowded?
(Coming in from the point of view of a 1991 Suburban owner, whose engine compartment is much bigger, and more roomy all around... Even I can fit my hands in there to reach stuff, should I want to...)
Re: New Car
For what it's worth, I remember helping my dad do stuff with our 1960 Rambler sedan. It had a hot-water straight six, and emission control was the crankcase vent sticking out the bottom of the engine. There was enough room for 10-year old me to sit on either wheel well and hand dad tools to adjust the single barrel carb on top of the intake manifold. He sat on the other wheel well!lake_wrangler wrote:On a different topic: are all modern engine compartments that crowded?

What is the purpose of the little telephone button thingies on the steering wheel?

Was that the 90CID flathead with the spark plugs poking up out of the top, or the 232/256CID big whomper?Atomic wrote:For what it's worth, I remember helping my dad do stuff with our 1960 Rambler sedan. Control stereo, make and receive phone calls (left side) and cruise control and select modes on the trip computer (right side). It connects to my phone via Bluetooth, and i can make calls by voice command and receive calls; t has a pretty good quality speakerphone setup.Catawampus wrote:What is the purpose of the little telephone button thingies on the steering wheel?
