Okay, one thing I have to say here... be really goddamn careful about suspension. Sure, it's bondage in the extreme, for those who like that sort of thing, but you've got a real problem with how the rig works, spreading out the weight load, and making damn sure you don't cut off circulation somewhere. It takes a very specially designed rig that looks NOTHING like what most people thinks it does, with every bit as much engineering as any performance vehicle. Slings are safer, because you spread out the weight distribution over a wider surface area, but really... harness or sling or whatever rig you are using for suspension... it absolutely, positively *MUST* be completely separate and independent from what you are using as restraints for several safety reasons. You can NOT use pulse-points (like ankles and wrists) as anchor points, or you're going to cut circulation, and end up with the potential for lethal blood clots.

Yes, I've seen the results. No, I was not any of the parties initially involved, although I ended up dealing with the afermath, which is why it's probably a soapbox-trigger for me. Definitely a 'this is done by trained professionals, don't try this at home kids' moment. I told the one doing the restraining that he wasn't permitted to do so again until after he had successfully completed a college level course in anatomy, and could pass my quiz on safety, so he had a better idea of what was where so accidents such as this wouldn't happen again.

Just like in any other application of knots, you have to know exactly what you're doing. Camping? Need to make a tripod to hang a propane lantern? Your round lashing better be excellent, buddy, or you might explode your camp and burn down the forest.

Rock climbing? Boy, I hope you know the figure-eight follow-through better than you know your own mother. And that rope better be exactly the right kind of rope you need, AND it had better be in near-perfect condition! Otherwise you might end up bouncing... Or going "splat." And nobody wants to clean up that mess.

I have earned seriouse $$$ building heavy, oak bedframes in four-poster fashion, with nautical cleats at strategic points for tie downs or 'D' rings for the leather restraints- Stocks and pillories are very popular as well

Assuming you can produce the quality required, absolutely can cost that much. However, you try to screw around on the price, and you'll find yourself without a market. That community is very tight-knit. Getting a bad rep is going to cause no one to do business with you. Also, that's a fairly small market, so saturation is actually a concern. Even with accoutrement, there's a limit to what you can produce for that sort of lifestyle before everyone simply runs out of money. And unlike some pieces of... equipment, metal frame beds do not ship cheaply due to weight of metal involved, so expanding into larger markets is going to be very difficult.

As a side to your main welding business? Absolutely. As your primary business? Bad idea.

A Texas man who achieved brief notoriety after he was arrested for having sex on a Las Vegas Ferris wheel in February was shot dead early Saturday morning after picking up his fiancée from the Houston strip club where she worked as a dancer.

Bryant Christopher Watts, 28, and Aaron Jones, 31, were charged with capital murder in the death of 27-year-old Phillip Frank Panzica. Police caught the pair after a brief chase and Watts allegedly confessed to shooting Panzica, The Houston Chronicle reported.

Panzica had just picked up his fiancée, who was holding the cash she'd earned at the club, and was driving the woman's black Kia Sorrento with Watts and Jones allegedly sitting in the back, investigators said. At one point, Watts pointed a handgun at Panzica, told him "You need to come clean" and shot him, the fiancée told investigators, according to ABC7.

The men then allegedly dumped Panzica's body on the side of the road and stole the woman's money and car. The woman, who has not been identified, eventually flagged down a bus.

Watts and Jones were found with a "large amount" of cash when they were arrested, police told ABC7.

In February, Panzica was charged with committing sex acts in public after he was caught in a raucous romp with a woman aboard a glass-enclosed Ferris wheel in Las Vegas.

Panzica told WTVR at the time that he had initially gone to Las Vegas with his fiancée to get married – but she was not the woman he ended up with on the Ferris wheel. The two began arguing soon after arriving in Las Vegas and then Panzica went gambling.

"Won a little bit of money. Lost a little bit of money. Got some margaritas. Probably like four or five," he told WTVR. "One thing led to another. She was there by herself."

Panzica said he didn't think anyone could see them when the Ferris wheel reached its pinnacle. Unfortunately for the couple, their quickie was visible on a video camera.

"We get up to the highest point, and we were like, 'We're golden,'" he said.

Panzica spent two nights in jail before his fiancée bailed him out. It's not clear if that woman was the same person who allegedly witnessed his death on Saturday.
