Mind you, Brave was also rather cliché, combining the Standard Plot C involving a tomboy heroine catering to the feminism 'vote', with a side-order of Plot Twist B 'Be careful what you wish for'.
Honestly, I'm highly disappointed in the movie industry for the past... well.. couple of decades anyways. Which is why they get nervous about things like Youtube and start pulling strings to try and straightjacket independent creativity (SOPA/PIPA and RIAA anyone?) since the new creative talent realizes that their contracts are horseturds.
