As it happens, I actually think the idea of ballooning spiders is kind of cool - an impressive adaptation, to be sure. (at least they don't have wings)
Also, I've read Charlotte's Web many times, so it isn't a completely foreign concept.

Can't deny it, though: The thought of a cloud of thousands of them... *shudder* ...gyah. That got to me.
