Sorry to be late getting back to this, but RL has been annoying.
This one was not mechanically psycho but was ...how shall we say this...not right in the head. As in Steven King's "Christine", but not to the same level. That is a story that will come out somewhere along the line when Dink and I feel like writing it up, but the poor thing had been abused by a series of uncaring owners and had developed a rather malignant personality.
Unfortunately this was not detected before the purchase, and it took one or two attempts at homicide before the penny dropped with a loud clang and it was realized that all...was not as it should be. Rather than chickening out in the face of this poultrygeist it was dealt with, and firmly.
I actually had a car like this in RL. a 1984 Range Rover, ex-Saudi, that had been grey-market imported into the US. I rebuilt the extensive corrosion it had and put it back on the road and after a few months and its fourth attempt to kill both of us (and no, I am not joking) I decided this car and i were parting company and sold it on to an individual i did not particularly like.
