I was reading his Patreon and he's doing some kind of 3D thing involving ball jointed dolls, and they needed to have costumes made for them and that kinda takes time.

That's the scale, but the doll is nothing like those. And it just occured to me that I had a BJD back in the 1960s, but we called them GI Joes.

If GI Joe were 1/6 scale, we'd have had an army of 5' 6" dwarves...

The original G.I. Joes (and soon after, Action Man, in England) were 12" tall... so supposing a 1/6 scale, we'd be talking 6' tall soldiers, not 5'6"...AnotherFairportfan wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 2:11 am If GI Joe were 1/6 scale, we'd have had an army of 5' 6" dwarves...

Speaking of which:
Too bad they used Van Halen's mediocre cover instead of the superior Kinks original...

Don't forget, Wapsi Square is active in many arenas; FB is one, (but I haven't logged into Facebook in so long...)

Reddit is another, and a kind person posts new entries there pretty regular.

IIRC, a dwarf has to be under 4'8" (142cm) as an adult. (I knew a girl who was four foot eight AND A QUARTER! {Emphasis hers} )

I couldn't think of any other word; "midget" seems inappropriate.Opus the Poet wrote: ↑Thu Aug 26, 2021 10:59 pmMy father was a 5'6" enlisted man...AnotherFairportfan wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 2:11 am If GI Joe were 1/6 scale, we'd have had an army of 5' 6" dwarves...

FYI Paul has new merch available, a line of Devil Gal branded T-shirts. Announced on Patreon today but I don't know when non-patrons will get access.

If the shirt sizes didn't stop at 2XL and if they weren't so expensive, i might order the Jin one...
