No, Daylla wouldn't seem to be covered in dirt or soot. The adjective just isn't consonant with her appearance.

Dingy is another one of "those" English words that has two pronunciations but only one spelling.
I ride my bike to ride my bike, and sometimes it takes me where I need to go.
