Which raises the question of what happens to blind people inside the sphere of influence of the experiment, do they cease to exist or get moved from this plane of existence?

I just want to point out, that one of the lady's, "scientist outfits", is a pair of daisy dukes. More science needs to happen that way.

Well, most of the scientists I know, you'd want a whole lot of brain bleach handy.

Depends a lot on the science. They're not a good choice if you're doing lab-work in chemistry or biology, as they don't provide sufficient protection against splashes of noxious substances which will infiltrate your body and mutate you into a sixty-foot-tall flame-spewing monster with an appalling appetite for teenagers parked in the local lovers' lane.

For physics and math they should be safe enough.
