Could be worse, when I was a Senior our NJROTC class was contracted as OpFor to the local NG units, I think a couple of brigades' worth of NG. A bunch of questionably trained and highly motivated teenagers against combat veterans in mock combat. It was a rout, for the teen OpFor. Thing to understand was this was the immediate post-Vietnam era, Saigon fell when I was a Junior, and they gave me a bloop tube and a chrome revolver!
