Ms. Alger "I finally got rid of Atsali Gilchrist and here comes an even spacier one..."
Proof Positive the world is not flat: If it were, cats would have pushed everything off the edge by now.

All together now:
Now that I'm older, I figured out the running gag of the show: Upon seeing something new, somebody would blurt out any old goofball explanation for it. Then everyone else proceeded as if that was correct. Any counter-claim was met with another random thought, and so on. Lather, rinse, repeat!
Rube 1 - Howdy! Where's your hat?
Victim - I'm not wearing a hat.
R 1 - Oh - somebody took it?
V -No, I didn't put one on...
Rube 2 - Did you lose your hat?
V - No....
R 1 - Somebody took it!
R 2 - That's horrible! Who would do that?
V - I wasn't wearing...
R 1 - Tell ya what -- Officer Bob needs to hear about this. We got a hat thief running around!
R 2 - I'll go call him right now!
V - Stop! I wasn't wearing...
R 1 - What? You want people stealing hats? Shame on you!!
etc...
Green Acres is the place to be.
Farm livin' is the life for me.
Land spreadin' out so far and wide
Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside.

Re: I know you 2020-10-12
Interesting... I had forgotten to add the date to the thread title, and AnotherFairportFan reminded me (like I told him in my reply to his private message, I was in such a hurry to be the first to post for today's comic, that I forgot to add the date, even though I took the time to re-read the instructions on thread titles, to make sure I would have the format right...)
So I just changed my first post's title, and all the other titles automatically changed as well. (I remember in the past, seeing erroneous titles remain the same on already posted stuff, even after the original post had been corrected).
Neat.
