I'm thinking, if Ellen where to draw her wings in tight, that Atsali could land the both of them safely- or visa/versa.

2ndly0 It's a very good assumption, re: mythological flying beings, that they don't actually fly by force of flapping wings but rather fly independently of them, using wings (and tail) for maneuverings and fine guidance.

PS- the likely scenario, based on the text, is that Atsali, upside-down as she was, was to keep flying on the straight and narrow, letting Ellen do the approaching. Seeing the baton, it seems Atsali 'went for it', after all; "It's Just Right There!", and 'boom'...

Should not the coach be able to fly? Doesn't seem as if she could get a proper view of what is going on stuck on the ground. Nor can she properly demonstrate technique. It's like a flying instructor in the human world who has never actually flown a plane. Nor does he fly with his students in a dual control aircraft. At the least it seems there should be assistant coaches in the air to do their guidance thing right at the action just like assistant coaches in human sports. Generally speaking, any coach should have had some actual experience at the sport he/she is coaching.

Oh, I almost forgot. If Atsali doesn't right herself before touchdown, there will most certainly be a crack up. Someone had to say it.

That depends on Coach Barrel-chest's shoulder width and level of flexibflexibility.

Though I'm not barrel chested, I've got a deep chest and I'm suprisingly flexible. For example, I can rotate both feetback about 110°. I can also hyper-extend my shoulders to point the backs of my elbows forward. Not straight forward, but still about 10° off from straight forward.

I can't find that spot... I searched all over by rubbing my palm across my back, and I never found it. I must have ran my hand all over my back. Where is it supposed to be?

Many people have a spot about halfway up their spine that they cannot reach with the fingers of either hand, either from below or from above.
