Never mind, logic indicates that yours was first: it was not there when I started mine, but was there by the time I finished my post. So we were in the same minute, but yours was a number of seconds before mine...

Actually, it could be one of Calista's, telling her "far out, huh, you didn't know I was a real creature, did you!"

But it could also be Monica's doubt. I won't hold categorically to one position or the other.

Well, they are inseparable... Well, they normally would be, on anyone else.... but Monica's a doorway, though now closed. So she could have separated herself from Monica, but probably can't anymore.

And my previous statements now bring up an interesting point: if normally, demons only leave their host when the host dies, and they get to inhabit a new host afterwards... That means that Monica's demons are now in for quite the long haul!

I can just see one of the demons complaining: "This was supposed to be a short-term assignment!"

After i posted and checked back, yours wasn't showing yet.

I guess it was a photo finish.

Personal demons and their interaction can change over time. Monica's Doubt is more of a confidant now.

This is probably what she is trying to teach Calista. Notice also how Monica's early Doubt resembles the one Calista was cornered by at the end. That may be Calista's version of Doubt.

Exactly. Like I said in my edit, yours was there when I finished mine and checked again, which proves yours was first, even if in the same minute.

Not likely for being who calibrate a their stopwatches in eons. More likely the other demons are screaming “NO FAIR! Why do we have to keep start over just as ours is getting broken in?”
