Olivia sems to be somewhat introverted. Between Castela and Shawna it's a case of "Opposites Attract".

Well she's a neighbor of Castela, so I think we'll be seeing her on the regular.

Maybe Becky could give them a few lessons.

Re: Time to open the portal to the coffeehouse again!

Anyone want to see Venus up close? I can't stay more than a few hours without overloading the cooling systems for life support, but it's kinda pretty, in a H. Bosch way... No EVA I'm afraid, survival even wearing the best Orion environmental suits is measured in seconds rather than minutes. I fabbed...

Still in the nursing home, still not putting up with their BS.

Re: I'm in the hospital 😝

re:painkillers. I have been prescribed 2: Tylenol for the minor shit and hydrocodone for anything worse. This has resulted in opioid constipation and concurrent anal bleeding. My wife and I share a room, for the first time in years. I forgot she has minor sleep apnea and snores like a diesel-electri...

Re: Time to open the portal to the coffeehouse again!

Your communication was blank the first time, and went back to the post to check my communications the second time. Sorry to not get what you sent, or I might not have run out of story to use for the next time.

Re: Time to open the portal to the coffeehouse again!

I'm running out of story, I have been making it up as I wrote it, but I don't see any logical way to continue this story without delving into territory I'm not able to write. You may have noticed a lack of interpersonal interaction and dialogue, because I have been clinically depressed for over half...

Re: Time to open the portal to the coffeehouse again!

After doing my civic duty as a member of the legislature it's back to the routine of grocery runs to the ISS and deliveries and pickups from Ceres. Plus I have to get the periodic checkup and repair on my knees and hips. I appreciate the health care, but I'm stuck on Ceres for as long as 10 days aft...

Re: Time to open the portal to the coffeehouse again!

One of the things I did with my Earth money was to make sure my wife is cared for since she has been bed-bound since the pandemic and needs constant care and support. She's getting an hour of therapy every day alternating between occupational therapy for her upper body, physical therapy for her lowe...

Re: Time to open the portal to the coffeehouse again!

OK, I'm now a majority partner in the construction of Penguin Station, a science platform located at a safe distance from Betelgeuse to get data in real time (or as close to real time as light speed will allow). I'm also a very minor legislator in the Orion Assembly. This requires in-person attendan...

Re: Time to open the portal to the coffeehouse again!

That's another thing, Terran-grown coffee is more valuable than gold on Ceres Station. Which makes economic sense, the coffee is one to 5 AUs away while tons of gold are relatively next door. I get literally a cycle's officer pay per kilo of whole bean coffee, making me even more rich than I was bef...

Re: Time to open the portal to the coffeehouse again!

Ah to be back on Earth for a while! Nothing like Earth grown coffee, and dairy coffee creamer. Orion sugar is chemically identical to the stuff from Earth but the fact that over 90% of the population is lactose intolerant means I only have ice cream when I'm on Earth. But what I really miss is Becky...

Re: Time to open the portal to the coffeehouse again!

Stud service is always a possibility when entertaining Orion women and was part of the expectation when I was made an Orion citizen. Like I said, retire to a habitat and make babies. This one was just in a hurry. Not that I objected, she paid extra to be first and was both pleasant to be with and th...

Re: I'm in the hospital 😝 AGAIN!!!

Wednesday of last week I lost my balance getting out of bed and fell with my right leg under me. My knee hip and ankle made a chorus of popping noises and, unfortunately so did my fibula. I got to spend several hours at the ER until I got padded splint fitted and waited for it to harden up, and I wa...
