Probably some sort of magic, or tech so advanced that it would only be recognized by us as magic.
I certainly hope Valerie comes out of this okay and with her dignity intact. It would be very mean of the comic creator to have her wind up doing something that would be mortifying if she learned of it.

No, I'm not sure. Rather the opposite, in fact.
Not that it would necessarily be her fault, though.
I'm just envisioning the possibility that our ladies might have an unfortunate bar encounter with some excessively forward para bro who crosses a line... maybe by patting Valerie's butt.
If she's alcohol-uninhibited, she might let her displeasure or fright be known
very emphatically. Perhaps fatally so.
