We thought Katherine was Fluttershy, but Atsali is the one forgetting she can fly.

Nobody. But then we expect a cliff hanger on Fridays. This one is more literal than most.

Oh, no - a literal weekend cliffhanger! Although it occurs to me we've seen this before, and on a Friday, too.

Can this really be called a cliffhanger? It's more of a cliff-faller. On that note, here's some falling music. bad MP3 distortion but every other video uses the "remastered" album version

Best advice for Kathy. Make sure you land on top of Atsali. Her airhead will be a great cushion. With any luck she'll bounce back up to the ledge and then wait there until Atsali get's her act together and flies back up.

That scared of heights is Bogus. She flew just fine carrying Kathy to the gate for Mesa Verde. THe rooms in the library are really big too. So claiming now that she can't fly because of fear??? Anyone really afraid of heights, falling, etc. simply cannot cope with any height. Even standing on a stool. terrifies them. Atsali should be either frozen with fear or trying to climb up Kathy to get away. They certainly would not be looking down.

Are we really sure this isn't a trickster of some sort taking Kathy on an adventure? The more absurd this gets the more I wonder. Each new Cliched disaster and problem makes this feel more and more contrived.

Hey, it was a long way down to the street, too!

And none of them knew how to grow wings and fly.

*sighs and shakes head* Seriously...Atsali is cut straight out of the tropes encyclopedia. :) It's rather like her limited life experience (aka she's only ever "lived" by reading about stuff) has left her incapable of being anything other than a predictable stereotype.

I like her. :D

Later on, we find out she isn't scared of the ocean, just chicken of the sea.

Atsali's supremely clumsy actions/reactions remind me of an regular problem I had as a kid:

I would be watching something my parents were doing, trying to stay out of the way, but close enough to "help" if I could. Mom/Dad would be busily working on what ever kitchen/workbench project, shuffling things about and so on, occasionally stepping away to get something or other to carry on.

And there I would be, watching intently.

And, arms full, they would say "Move!"

And, seeing a large open space in front of me, I would step there to get out of the way.

And, usually, I would hear their anguished cry, "No! That's where I'm trying to go!"

Lather, rinse, repeat....

Eventually, they started handing me a clue by saying, "Move aside!" That second word worked wonders....

Aaaah - 2 days of reading the comments - and guess's about Monday. Should be interesting. I did agree with the "Gibbs" slap however. Well called for.
