So, it's just past midnight around here in the middle of Europe, ergo happy new year from me.
And, as every year, no old year would be complete (well, at least in Austria and Germany) without yet another showing of
Dinner for One (feel free to ignore the German introduction, the main part is in English) on TV right before midnight...

np: Texta - Koida Kaffee (So Oder So)

Thank you for the Dinner for One link! I've heard about it but never saw it before. Lovely and hilarious tradition!

And so the first pun of the year was made. As always, it was pun-intentional.
*drops a shiny new penny into the pun vault*
Have a happy Linux-sponsered GNU Year!

Late happy new year to everyone!

I didn't even login to a computer yesterday (or the evening before), so I couldn't wish it sooner.

My husband and I were doing a complete run-through of The Beatles albums on vinyl in chronological order (of album release date...not songs since Past Masters kind of makes that difficult) since he got the box set of remastered Beatles vinyl for his birthday/Christmas this year.

Ooh! I'm so jealous...on so many levels...
I hope you two had fun with all that yummy vinyl...

We did!

And my dad was so excited to be able to talk vinyl with someone that he let my husband go through his collection of albums to borrow several...and then gave them to us instead of merely loaning them.

So now we've started a collection.
