Deck the holly with ... uhhh ...

Post by Fairportfan »

Gainesville's Christmas tree. That sucker is a Great Honkin' Big Holly Tree. Very dense foliage.

Gotta figure, as i've remarked before, that whoever gets to put the lights up and take 'em down must be on his supervisor's Naughty List...

Err -- I think I'm failing this particular Rorschach test...

As opposed to these more obvious naughty Christmas lights in Brighton.

I think that Fairportfan is referring to the difficulty quotient of putting up these lights, and wondering what the person had done to be given such a monumental task, rather than imply that the lights themselves were somehow naughty...

That is amazing. Gainesville's Big Ol' Tree is certainly impressive, but those lights in Brighton are amazing.

Holly.

Prickly leaves.

Having to put all those lights up among them.

OK -- a night's sleep and a re-read (after coffee) delivers the clue. Lovely display, but harsh work to put it up!

Could be worse... it's too cold there for them to have decided to decorate a manchineel.

All those sparkley jewel-like lights, like a visual song: annealed diamonds in a holly, holy.

I know that tree! And also that view of it that you're taking pictures from.

Sometimes I hate living in Georgia. XD
