Poor guy! Ths same thing happened to a friend of ours, when he was visiting a small zoo in an outlying city in Mexico. In his case it was an old, decrepit male lion, but the result was very much the same as is shown here. No warning at all, and then a savage territorial attack.

Actually, anyone who's had tomcats should have recognised the huffing sounds and the cheek-rubbing on the fence...
