In the January issue of Scientific American, a short article mentions a Department of Energy supercomputer. It has recently been upgraded, redesigned, and renamed, and is claimed to be the world's fastest. Its earlier architecture (based on traditional CPUs) has been replaced by one which uses graphics processors (GPUs) - tricker to program, but delivering much more compute power per dollar and per watt.
The system's old codename? "Jaguar"
Its new codename? "Titan"
I have to wonder whether the MIB are serving as the field engineers for the DOE's IT department?
