Update on my schooling!

Hey all, I'm halfway through my finals week and I thought I'd give you guys an update - earlier in the semester I had interviewed a couple of you for a project in my Exceptional Students class, I thought I'd let you know that I just got it back today and got 100%! So thanks VERY MUCH to the Wapsians who helped me out, you guys gave me a lot to think about and my teacher loved what I had to say.
I can't share all of my project, I had to sign non-disclosure agreements for my interviews and the paper I wrote on my field experience student teaching, but I did want to share my gratitude and appreciation for everyone who works with special needs kids.
You guys are awesome!
Also, I got an A on my Scoring & Arranging piece (I wrote a song for full orchestra and another for jazz band), I got an A on my flute final, and tomorrow I should find out my grade for my clarinet and string bass finals. I'm anticipating straight As, which for me is a HUGE accomplishment (but should also explain my scarcity over the last 2 months).
As always, I peek in often, and if you need me I'll answer

Congratulations! If you ever manage to arrange a performance of your arrangements

please put a recording on-line so we can hear them!

I didn't get video of the orchestra performing my piece, but my teacher did record audio, I will email him and ask for a copy (I didn't even think of that, see how focused my brain is on the next final?!)

Here's the link to the orchestra playing my arrangement of Schumann's "Carnavale: Valse Noble" - I got 100% on it

Congrats on doing so well!

I had my final on Monday (I only take one class a semester usually since I work full time), and I'm pretty sure I did well. I'm working hard to maintain a high GPA (since it was something I neglected to care about in high school and my first attempt at college), so I'm hoping that my overall grade turns out as well as I think it will.
How many more classes do you have before you graduate? (sorry if you mentioned this somewhere else...I may have missed it)

I have about 3 full time semesters left, and I think that includes my student teaching.

Can you tell us a bit about the arrangement... what choices you made, and why?
I'm musical enough to enjoy it (and did - thanks!), but not enough to create any... and in music theory I'm seriously ignorant.

I tried in VLC, Windows Media Player and in iTunes, but I can't seem to be able to play it.

Worked for me -- turned on JavaScript for that page, and hit Download. Windows Media Player worked just fine.
Lovely! Congrats!

Well, the biggest thing I worked on with that piece was using instrumentation to build volume, mood, and tempo. Basically, the more people playing, the faster and wilder it is supposed to get.
Honestly, the easiest way to explain it is that I wrote how I personally feel after being on a merry go round (I have vertigo). Since the movement's name was Carnavale, it made me think of a carnival (As opposed to the Brazilian celebration), and carnivals make me think of merry go rounds, cotton candy, and maybe getting a little sick to your stomach before you go and do it all over again.
