So, the owner apparently isn't Selene. She's just a buttinski butt-dialer. :)

It looks like Selene was pre-gaming. A bunch.

I hope for her sake the micro fibers in the "gecko skin" are aligned randomly or in some kind of pattern as opposed to all facing the same direction. Otherwise, if I remember the physics of how gecko toes stick to surfaces correctly, one bounce in the wrong direction and the girls could pop right out.

You are quite right. I hadn’t thought of that, but it probably wouldn't be too hard to do that way. Random would probably be easiest. Could just be random fractal branching off of the main filaments that make the threads of the cloth of the liner... maybe altered nanobuds that don’t terminate in a partial buckyball but instead are more like a large diameter CNT with smaller-diameter CNT’s branching off, joined with a “nanobud” structure at the intersection.

Can be quite high, I think. We know of at least one para who is always pickled.

For another, there's Bud, who seems to be able to put away quite a lot (and suffer for it the next day). In her case I'm not sure that BAC is even a thing... I don't imagine that golems actually have anything which corresponds to blood... but the programmed effect of ethanol seem to be similar.

I wonder if the Wapsiverse has clurichauns? A para species with a different collection of genes for various alcohol dehydrogenase enzymes (and related ones to metabolize acetaldehyde) might very well be able to use liquor as a major part of its diet, without suffering as badly as humans do.

Depends. If they urinate in people's umbrella stands, they're probably an endangered species.

Now just watch -- PETA is going to campaign on the evils of Gecko Skin Bikinis. Poor things, all they want to do is climb things and eat bugs, but Noooo... you have to go around strapping them to boobies just so you can look better! Who do you think you are, depriving one of God's creatures the right to live in peace just for your depraved fashion sense!

Potential new specialty market: bikinis in which the micro fibers are aligned in a very specific pattern (artist-selected). The stresses they create through skin contact will create a matching pattern of texture and color on the skin. So, when you take the bikini off, you have a (very) temporary tattoo on the skin.

Wasn't that the "original sin" that supposedly got the Corinthians killed off?

No, it was poor penmanship, usually written on patches of badly tanned animal hide - commonly known as Corinthian letter.

I thought it was that they (famously) would work themselves into a froth over some minor issue to the point (and frequency) that it became popularly known as a Corinthian Lather?
