Some famous double acts:

Mutt & Jeff - begun 1907
Abbott & Costello - first teamed 1935
Laurel & Hardy - first official team, 1927
Gallagher & Shean -1912 to 1914; then 1920 to 1925 (Al Shean was the Marx Brothers' uncle.)
Hope & Crosby - first teamed in 1940
Not even duct tape can fix stupid. But it can muffle the noise.

Fairportfan, you do realize that using a politician to be a double for Laurel and Hardy is an insult to Stan and Ollie.
