The point is, he may not *know* what that thing 'standing' is....

BTW Castela STILL thinks those 'noises' are coming from the 'heating vent'..

Also, recall that Digit had trouble speaking until she was given a clue about how human respiratory systems work.

I wonder if she's more shocked that Reggie is now shaped like a human than she is about them seeing each other nude...
